Coffee can seriously mess with my digestive system but tea is gentler and delivers a solid amount of caffeine. I can also get away with using less sugar than I typically put in coffee. Tea is more acidic than coffee f I recall correctly. If OP reacts badly to the acidity in coffee, he/she will also react badly to tea.
