I get yeast infections all the time and when I take probiotics I get really really sick to were sometimes I feel like they get stuck in my stomach like I can’t digest them and sometimes I can’t digest even regular foods. I can’t even drink a protein shake because I get really bad pain in the middle of my stomach and then I can’t use the restroom.

I had my gall bladder removed several years ago. Im 26 years old female. Any suggestions welcome thank you. @Anita – Sure so to clarify.

i’m 26 years old. I have been trying to address my issues with low stomach acid (taking Betaine HCL with pepsin) but it’s just not straight forward and I can’t figure it out. All this is making me very stressed and I have a lot of anxiety about making the reflux worse in fear or developing Barrett’s. This anxiety is undoubtedly making things worse. I feel that I have indigestion issues and this got much worse after I took Pepcid for a week.

I use this high potency HCL for those in need to get levels up if they have symptoms of digestive disturbance. So what does low stomach acid have to do with acne? As I’ve discussed many times before, the health of your gut is vital to the health of your skin. According to this study, 40% of those with acne have hypochlorhydria (low stomach acid). Ironically enough, conditions such as SIBO (small intestinal bacterial overgrowth), yeast overgrowth, leaky gut, and other digestive infections such as H.

Am I correct to think this or have I been told wrong info? I only use tums to help with indigestion at this point.

  • I wasn’t convinced that I had too much stomach acid because I wasn’t getting any heartburn or belching before I went to the doctor – I only had the ‘lump in my throat’ feeling plus I am constantly clearing my throat (hawking is it called?).
  • If you take these medications and are concerned that you have symptoms of low stomach acid, speak with your doctor before making changes to your medications.
  • I had a CT scan and nothing showed all my doctor did was up my dose of prevacid.
  • Get some litmus paper and check your saliva and urine pH. 7.0 is neutral and where you want to be.
  • I just want my life back and not be afraid of food.
  • Appropriate stomach acid levels are crucial for our immune system and for adequate nutrient status, both of which support total health.

my question to you is can i have low stomach acid and can low acid cause gastritis. in my case I don’t have H.Pylori bacteria, I had done my upper Endoscopy year ago and doc. told me all is fine just redness and mild gastritis, but burning sensation just does not go away, every single day i have this.

has a long tradition of use for indigestion. Older clinical trials have shown that linden flower tea can help people who suffer from upset stomach or from excessive gas that causes the stomach to push up and put pressure on the heart (also known as the gastrocardiac syndrome.) The reputed antispasmodic action of linden, particularly in the intestines, has been confirmed in at least one human trial. Linden tea is prepared by steeping 2-3 tsp of flowers in a cup of hot water for 15 minutes. Several cups per day are recommended.

Digestive enzymes will help you fully break down those nutrients you ingest. If your stomach acid is too high, that will actually not allow you to break down the food you’re eating, so you must get plenty of enzymes. That’s not something you should have to take the rest of your life, but it is something you should take for a time until your stomach acid balances out.

Consider taking HCL with Pepsin at each meal. See the directions at the bottom of this article for the dosage. So remember, you need stomach acid! Eat slowly, in a relaxed state and consider some of the remedies I mentioned above – I think you’ll start seeing some great results. When the food in your stomach has been mixed with the correct amount of stomach acid, enzymes, and other digestive secretions, it will reach an acidity between 1.5-3.0 on the ph scale and then move into the small intestine to continue the digestive process. I can have an almost normal life most of the time, except after I take antibiotics.
